Firstly, thanks to all the students who applied to work with Moodle for GSOC 2009.
We had slightly fewer applications than last year, perhaps because of our new requirement that students fix at least one bug, but the quality was much higher! This pattern has been reported generally across the 150 organisations participating in GSOC 2009 (see Student Applications for Google Summer of Code™ 2009 for an official statement).
We now have until Wednesday 15 April to finalize matching student proposals to mentors, though I’m trying to hassle our mentors into choosing which students they’d like to work with by Monday 13 April, to allow time to sort out any problems, such as more than one organisation wanting to accept the same student.
Mentors, a further reminder: please check the discussions in our mentor-only forum in the GSOC 2009 course and reply as soon as possible.
