I’ve been going through all the gradebook capabilities in order to document ways of simplifying the Moodle 1.9 gradebook. One thing I discovered was that the capability moodle/grade:manage overrides moodle/grade:hide, moodle/grade:lock and moodle/grade:unlock (MDL-18442).
